It can be very overwhelming when you first start learning about herbs. Today there is so much information out there; it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. But don’t get discouraged. Herbalism is a lifelong study, and there will always be more to learn.
First ask yourself why you want to learn about herbs. As simplistic as that may seem the answer will help focus your starting point.

Do you want to run an apothecary, or become a community, or clinical herbalist?
Are you a professional looking to add herbalism to your existing practice?
Perhaps you’re a history buff and just want to know what *Eye of Newt or *Devil’s dung really is?
Whatever the reason, there is no right or wrong answer, and there can be more than one answer.
